Duke of Edinburgh Expedition - Fall 2010
This trip will take place from October 1st to 3rd just as the leaves on the trees start to change to autumn colours. The trip will cover two nights and qualifies as an expeditionary trip for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Program. Students will be hiking through scenic Algonquin Park, a designated provincial park, located approximately 145 kilometers north of Belleville. The cost will be approximately $200 for transportation, food, and permits.
 
 
Mt. Tremblant, Quebec Ski Trip - Winter 2011
The 18th annual ski trip to Mount Tremblant will occur from February 19th to February 22nd, 2011. With 94 runs serviced by 13 state-of-the-art lifts, the mountain dominates a stunningly beautiful countryside and is a haven for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. The trip includes round-trip transportation, accommodation, breakfast and a three day ski pass. The cost is approx. $500 plus spending money.


Duke of Edinburgh Expedition - Winter 2011
This trip will take place from January 22nd to 23rd in or around Algonquin Park. Students will experience the ultimate Canadian adventure of camping and dogsledding in the winter. The trip will cover two days and one night and qualifies as an expeditionary trip for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Program. The cost will be approximately $350 for transportation, food, and permits.
 
 
China March Break Community Service Trip - March 2011
Students may elect to join Craig Kielburger's “Leaders Today and Me to We Foundation” on a twelve day adventure in Beijing, China during March Break 2011 (dates to be confirmed). The itinerary will include visiting monumental sites like the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Shaolin Temple. Then they will visit the impoverished and rural China, and come face-to-face with the developmental challenges in a vast and struggling countryside. Students will have the chance to volunteer, to learn Mandarin and teach English to improve the lives of some of the country's most poverty-stricken families. Travel and participation costs are $4,500 which includes all travel, meals, accommodation, health insurance, airport tax and immunizations.
 
 
Ecuador March Break Community Service Trip - March 2011
Students may elect to join Craig Kielburger’s Leaders of Today and Me-to-We Foundation on an eleven-day trip to Ecuador, South America during March Break 2011 (dates to be confirmed). The itinerary includes visits to Quito and San Miguel. In San Miguel students will participate in a school-building project and interact with and appreciate the Ecuadorian lifestyle and culture. The students will also lead the children of the village in songs and games. Travel and participation costs are $4,200 to $4,500 which includes all travel, meals, accommodation, health insurance, airport tax and immunizations.

This trip will include canoeing and camping from April 29th to May 2nd. The excursion will cover three nights and qualifies as an expeditionary trip for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Program. Costs are approximately $200 for transportation, food, and permits.
